The winner of Chances’ first ever Critical Fierceness Grant is announced! The grant is a twice-yearly award of $500, given to a queer artist from the Chicago area. All funds are generated from Chances bar proceeds - meaning you! We were lucky enough this time to have a little extra cash on hand, so we awarded a second grant of $300 as well. The lucky ladies are:
Rebecca Kling, for “Ares and Aphrodite” (performance)
Rebecca Grady, for “Iceberg Greenhouse” (sculpture/installation)
